Coming up with a catchy title for this was a challenge in itself! So I thought why not add my touch to it by adding my name to it which makes it a 'small lotus' but anyways you get the idea right? Lotus, ever since I was a child has fascinated me. Especially, during the Pujo days when we would be waiting for getting at least 1 lotus out of the 108 lotuses. The first time i got the lotus, i was immediately fascinated, a fascination that has only developed and grew more over the years.
When i started this piece, i was thinking about lotuses, and randomly started drawing/sketching whatever came to my mind and that's how this took its shape to become this art piece. And that's how i would want to reimagine the lotus!!
Such a pretty thought behind the artwork...my suggestion is that from the next time, try to test out the white pen on another paper first, since it tends to get all scratchy...you can also use a fine brush for detailing. Loving the colour combination here, and given your fascination with lotuses, you should try Pichwai art sometime!
